First China and now Indonesia: Asia (and soon Africa?) refuses to import waste from the West. It is time we co-build a new hyper-local and (karmically) responsible circular economy that allows each city, district, building or even each house to recycle its own waste at a local level (but also to SOURCE locally !!).

Solutions inspired by frugal innovation can help every city in the West to switch to the “micro” circular economy.

To inspire you, here are some innovators who are building these micro circular economies:

- Recycling water in your home: https://orbital-systems.com

- Recycling within a building/office: https: // www.plastif.com

- Recycling at neighborhood level: https://lnkd.in/g3zXB4B

My next book on frugal innovation will highlight this ethical (karmic) circular economy with small networked loops
