Remember the boiling frog parable ?

Given the dual socio-ecological urgency we face, the United Nations should boldly rename its 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as… 2021 Agenda for Sustainable Development to compel its member countries to achieve its 17 SDGs as early as 2021.

And the United Nations Global Compact can put similar pressure on its member companies.

These firms can learn from Decathlon, the world’s largest sports retailer, which boldly renamed its Vision 2030 as Vision 2021 so it can engage all its employees and ecosystem partners to co-build inclusive/regenerative communities worldwide starting in 2021 rather than wait till 2030 to co-create a better world.

Given the dual socio-ecological urgency, the UN should rename its 2030 SDGs as 2021 SDGs

I am 50 years old now. I don’t want to wait till I am 60 in 2030 to live in a Sustainable World. Do you ?
